plaintiff to recover damages for the loss of a leg sustained when
his motorcycle collided with the rear end of an automobile driven
by the defendant, Mira Groff. The case was tried to the court and
judgment was entered against the defendants for the sum of
$19,050 and costs. Appeal has been duly perfected. The basic questions presented are: (1) Whether there is
sufficient evidence to sustain the trial court's finding that
Mira Groff was negligent; and (2) whether the plaintiff was
guilty of contributory negligence as a matter of law which was a
proximate cause of the collision.
